Val Gardena is the most popular Alpine destination in Italy

According to a recent Enit survey, the National Tourism Agency, recently reported by the national daily newspaper La Stampa, the summer season just ended can be defined as the summer of records in the Alpine area.
A sign of the times, which leads people to prefer quieter and less crowded destinations, but also a sign of a reversal of the trend: it is no longer true that in summer Italians prefer white beaches.
Val Gardena in particular is considered the most popular and enjoyable Alpine destination in Italy.

DOLOMITES, a new system for a brand looking to the future

Val Gardena, after a long and elaborate process over several phases has presented a new strategy which has as its driving element the brand DOLOMITES.
At a “kick-off” event of the Tourism Associations of Ortisei, S. Cristina and Selva, the results of this strategic process were presented to the public, a process which has resulted in the creation of a new VAL GARDENA logo, it integrated with that of DOLOMITES, and so by opening a possible prospective for the other valleys of the Dolomites.

S. Cristina is turning into a giant celebratory stage hosting the Italian Saslong champions of the past and present. They along with ski fans from the valley and members of the Organizing Committee will remember highlights of the last five decades.

News for the winter 2017/18 in Val Gardena

From the beginning of the 2017/18 season, winter sports fans will be able to make use of a new modern connection system in Val Gardena with the Sellaronda: the new 10 seater cabin system “Piz Seteur”, is being introduced by the company of Piz Sella S.p.A. from Selva Val Gardena and it will adopt new standards of comfort, safety and performance.
From summer 2018 in the Sassolungo and Passo Sella area there will be a new concept of sustainable mobility. Thanks to the chairlift “Gran Paradiso”, using the two lifts, it will be possible to reach Passo Sella from the carpark of Plan de Gralba in just 25 minutes.
