#DOLOMITESVIVES - (re)discover the Dolomites: Passo Sella traffic-calmed

An important contribution to the preservation of the sensitive natural environment on the mountain will be made in the name of the Unesco World Heritage every Wednesday this summer: the road to the Passo Sella will be traffic-calmed. The project has been given the name #Dolomitesvives.
Between 23 July and 31 August 2018, the Passo Sella is traffic-calmed Mondays to Fridays from 9 am to 4 pm.

Gröden ist mit über 30 Routen ein wahres Paradies für alle Mountainbike-Liebhaber. Besonders bekannt ist die sagenhafte "Sellaronda MTB Tour".
Vom 14. bis 18. Juni 2018 werden die Dolomiten und Gröden mit der Bike & Tech Expo (in Wolkenstein) und der neunten Ausgabe der HERO Südtirol Dolomites zur Welthauptstadt des Mountainbikens. In diesen Tagen wird es eine Reihe von weiteren Veranstaltungen für Liebhaber des Drahtesels geben.

Small and colourful is what Val Gardena looks like in its full bloom spring, with swathes of crocuses, violets, snowbells covering the land. A couple of weeks later, dense blankets of rhododendrons brighten the feet of the ‘pale mountains’. White and green Alpine poppies reach for the sunshine, rising out of gravel and rubble piles. The summer floral variety is of a touching beauty, with 30 different bellflowers, orchids, tiger and martagon lilies peppering the landscape.

Val Gardena is the paradise of all mountain bike fans

In Val Gardena, to the northwest of the South Tyrolean Dolomites, mountain bikers can expect a vast-ranging network set against a spectacular background. Explore the unique natural landscape of the Dolomites which, according to Reinhold Messner, are ‘the most beautiful mountains in the world’. In this valley there are more than 600 kilometres of routes.
